Students must feel connected to their community to learn. At AWKUM, we prioritize connections between students and their faculty members, advisors, coaches, student life professionals, supervisors, community partners, tutors, and peers, among many others. Students collaborate closely with expert advisors who have been trained in best advising practices. Our nationally recognized faculty of scholars, researchers, and artists guide students’ research, practice experiential and high-impact teaching, train peer tutors, and lead student travel experiences. High-quality academics coexist with a mentoring and care culture at AWKUM. The student affairs division leads and supports co-curricular activities and personnel to ensure AWKUM’s continued educational excellence. Student Affairs is dedicated to its students and understands that grades are not the only indicator of successful learning but moral, ethical, and social activities also play an important role in a successful life.
