Who we are?
Soon after the establishment of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, several departments were made functional. Likewise, the Department of Physical education was established due to the keen desire expressed by various sections of the society. The primary aim of the Department of Physical Education & Sports is to produce best physical Educationists. The reason behind this is the importance of public health and general fitness. The public being aware of the importance of this discipline raise voice for trained teachers in their schools, colleges and other institutions. The Department was made functional to meet the needs of trained physical educationists across the region. Quality in Physical Education is the top priority of this Department because in past there was extreme shortage of standard institutions in the field of the physical education. The Department of Physical Education & Sports will provide services to the sports personal and will train teachers, coaches, trainers and sports organizers; who will not only equipped with latest knowledge in physical education but will also willing to apply their knowledge into their respective fields in order to bring positive changes in the society.
