Overview
Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM), established in 2009, is imparting Quality Education through 35 disciplines of Arts and Humanities, Social, Basic and Applied Sciences at Undergraduate, Graduate and Postgraduate levels. This is evident from its five campuses;
- Garden Campus, Mardan
- Main Campus, Mardan
- University College of Science Shankar, Mardan
- Shaheed Rashid Hussain Campus Pabbi, Nowshera
- Abdul Wali Khan University Timergara Campus

Presently, around 12000 students are enrolled in various programs. AWKUM has around 400 highly qualified faculty members, among which more than 200 are Ph.D. from various technologically advanced countries. AWKUM is ranked the 2nd best University of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa by Higher Education Commissions (HEC). Hence, it is the fastest growing public-sector university in the Country.
The Garden Campus of the University is spread over on more than 2000 Kanals of land having state of the art infrastructure, well equipped laboratories, computer labs, three hostels with the capacity of 1500 students, three on campus colleges, sports grounds and many other facilities.

Overview
The Financial Aid Office at AWKUM is committed to ensure smooth execution of scholarship programs. In addition, the Financial Aid Office will help you discover and learn more about the many different types of aid/scholarships that may be available to you.
Scholarship for Disabled Students
Eligibility: | (a) | Students admitted on open merit in AWKUM |
(b) | Having a Major Disability |
Scholarship for Position Holders
Eligibility: | (a) | Position holder in Board/University (First Three) |
Scholarship for Siblings
Eligibility: | (a) | Multiple Siblings studying in AWKUM at undergrad level. |
Employee Son Scholarship
Eligibility: | (a) | Son/daughter of an AWKUM employee (BPS1-17) |
Student Welfare and Endowment Fund (SWEF) Scholarship
Eligibility: | (a) | The candidate must be a regular student of AWKUM. |
(b) | .The candidate should not be receiving any other scholarship for that semester from any other funding agency. | |
(c) | The candidate belongs to a poor family, not able to bear his/her University dues (to be decided by committees). | |
Student Welfare Endowment Fund (SWEF)
Student Welfare Endowment Fund (SWEF) is established at the university to serve the following objectives
Provide financial support to deserving students in order to continue their studies.
To encourage education, inculcate analytical skills, develop research and encourage other academic activities among students.
To fully or partially finance the participation of talented students in the national/international conferences, seminars, workshops and synopsis to represent the University
All regular students of the university are eligible to apply for financial aid through SWEF.
Applications for the SWEF can be submitted to the Chairperson/HOD concerned around the year. Departmental SWEF Scholarship Committee assess all applications and award scholarships based on talent, merit and need considering the balance available for scholarship award in a given year.

MORA Scholarship

Currently enrolled in AWKUM |
(b) | Entitled for Zakat |
Comprehensive transparent and unbiased frame work for neediness assessment & selection of deserving students is to be followed by Scholarship/Financial aid Committee. If a student intends to get Scholarship/Financial Aid, he/she shall have to apply on prescribed application from as and when announced by Financial Aid Office/Funding Agency.
For cases where selection is done by the university, all the applications for scholarships and financial aid will be evaluated and recommended by the Scholarship/financial Aid committees constituted by the University. Scholarship/Financial Aid is based on the assessment of need and merit as well as availability of funds. Selection is decided on the basis of information provided on application form, supporting documents and interview of the candidate if required.
Providing False Information Providing false information may result one or all of the following:
- Cancellation of admission
- Rustication from the University
- Disqualification for award of any future scholarship/financial aid
- Refund of all the payment received and or a penalty equal to total scholarship amount.
