As of January 2021, AWKUM has 1462 total employees comprising 429 faculty members and 1033 administrative & support staff. Our staff is our biggest strength and we value them immensely. We aspires to be a truly people centric institution and will achieve this goal with a right person at the right place approach. AWKUM Human Resource Directorate not only trains right people for the right place we motivate and develop them, too.
We know that an organization is as good as its people and we must have competent and motivated workers at each department, section and office of the University. The HRD ensures that our staff is well trained & equipped to keep up pace with fast changing technologies, new trends, professional practices and must be excel in multitasking and meeting tight deadlines.

Train & retain students and people friendly staff for enhancing teaching, learning & research and services at the University. We assist Team AWKUM in helping & guiding students and improving services to colleagues, parents and partners.

HRD also provides the employees with ample opportunities to pursue their higher education and enhance their professional careers. The Directorate manages fellowships, scholarships & training programs, both indigenous & overseas, to the faculty / staff members. The focus of HRD is on developing a superior workforce so that the University and its individual employees can accomplish their work goals in service to students.
Furthermore, HRD establishes linkages with foreign and local universities / organizations of repute to hold collaborative academic events, faculty & student exchange programs and provision of scholarships to employees as well as students. These programs provide substantial platforms to the employees and students in order to cope up with the modern day challenges.
