Introduction:

Management Science is concerned with developing and applying models and concepts that help to illuminate management issues and solve managerial problems throughout the globe.

Department of Management Sciences Timergra Campus AWKUM in this regard is committed to providing quality education and research facilities in the field of Management Science. We aim to realize the upcoming young generation with the management issues of the present era and especially to aware them about the management problems of Pakistan. At the same time, we are committed to equip them with state of the art managerial Knowledge skills and abilities to enhance their discretionary power in the light of modern management theories and practices. In this way, we are playing a positive role in the development of the nation and the society as a whole by providing them best leaders, decision-makers, managers, policymakers, strategy makers and another professional workforce, who are the key players in the social, strategic and economic development of a nation. We produce graduates to become future leaders for industry, academia, government and society in Pakistan whose vision is founded upon fundamental Managerial knowledge, creative and analytical skills, local/regional perspective and ethics. Through a nice blend of course work and projects, the department endows students with the ability to apply that knowledge to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, provide leadership, conceptual, analytical and technical expertise, and practice with ethical approaches and concern for society and environment.

Establishment of the Department:
The Department of Management Sciences Timergara Campus AWKUM was established in October 2011 with the inception of the campus, by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr Ihsan Ali. From the very beginning, we started with one class of MBA (3.5 years) program and enrolled 35 students who have completed their one year (2 semesters) here at this campus. As this Campus is situated in a very rich area in terms of strength of applicants, so we are quite confident that during this fall semester-2012 admissions we will be having enough strength in both BBA (Hon’s) and MBA (3.5 years) programs.

Programs Offered:
The department currently is offering the following programs in the field of Management studies.

1. MBA 3.5 years
2. BBA (Hon’s) 4 years program

The above-mentioned programs offer specializations in the areas of Finance, Human Resource Management and Marketing.

Faculty of the Department:
The faculty of the Department Consist of a blend of the competent and well-qualified individual from top Pakistani as well as foreign universities, who covers a wide range of Management Areas Such as Business Economics, Business Statistics, Financial Accounting, Marketing, Human Resource Management and Financial Management etc. The faculty members are very active in teaching, research and service. We believe that Inshallah, our department will produce very competent and talented managers and leaders to society and the country in long run.
