The economy of Pakistan is predominantly based on agriculture. Realizing it, Bachelor Program under Faculty of Agriculture was initiated at AWKUM in September 2012. Department of Agronomy is pursuing vision and mission of the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan by achieving par excellence in science through inculcating quality education.

AGRONOMY is the science and technology of growing plants that feed the world. Our students and faculty conduct research on grains, grasses, forages, and cover crops. The goal is to enhance productivity of food, fuel and fiber along with lines to promote biodiversity, building soil, improving water resources and sequestering carbon.

Students are actively involved in seminars, conferences, workshops and field activities so as to groom their professional carrier.
