Department of Food Science & Technology (FST) was initially started as a specialization program under the Department of Agriculture in 2013. FST was recently upgraded as a full fledge department in 2020. The undergraduate degree program of the FST has been very successful that enabled the students to express themselves at National and International level. The outgoing food scientists are trained professionals who have the necessary knowledge that allows them to study the nature of food, the causes of its deterioration, the fundamental principles of its processing and the improvement thereof for public consumption under specified legislation. Besides, the Faculty of FST has developed linkages with scientists from United Kingdom, United States of America, China and Korea. Certainly, the dedicated and highly qualified Faculty of FST, who had their degrees from world’s top ranked Universities (Belgium, UK, USA, China) are always committed to boost up the professional capacity of emerging talent with specialized trainings and research thereby helping them to enjoy successful careers ahead.
