Seminar at AWKUM Anbar Campus on “Mosquitos & Public Health”

Of the seminar series at AWKUM Anbar Campus,today on 17th May 2012, Dr.Asad Ali Assistant Professor, Faculty of Agriculture presented a public awarness seminar on “Mosquitos & Public Health”. Dr. MukhtarAlam Coordinator, Anbar campus was the chief guest. Faculty of Agriculture as well asstudents and faculty members from Management Sciences & Pharmacy departments attended the seminar.

The aim of the seminar was to aware the public about mosquitoes and the potential danger associated with it as vector of important human diseases especially Malaria & Dengue fever. Dr. Asad discussed the technical issues related with Mosquitoes for Disease Dissemination, their control and precautionary measurements. He also stressed that if properly handle dengue is not a life threatening and can be cured in week time by taking rest and fluid to avoid dehydration.Prior to Seminar presentation flyers were distributed among the students and public community in Anbar,Swabi.
