ABDUL WALI KHAN UNIVERSITY MARDAN

Mr. Shaukat Ali Khattak, PhD scholar at Lancaster University, UK participated in a Conference “UK Semiconductors 2012” (An annual conference of all Aspects of Semiconductor Research) held on 4th & 5th July 2012 at University of Sheffield UK.

The Conference was attended by profound researchers of UK and International Universities.

Mr. Shaukat Ali Khattak presented a poster in the Conference in which he showed his own results obtained by his experimental work on the topic of "Properties of Exactions in Strain-Engineered InAs/InGaAs/GaAs Metamorphic Quantum Dots for Long Wavelength (1.3 to 1.55 µm) Emission" which have interesting applications in lasers and telecommunication devices for fast data transferring at low attenuation.

The poster and results were explained to many visitors and were highly appreciated.
