Meeting of the Ph.D Scholars Studying in UK

with the

Vice-Chancellor of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan

 


A meeting of thePh.D Scholars of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan(studying in different Universities of UK under the Scholarshipsof Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa) was held with the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr.Ihsan Ali on January 8, 2012, in Birmingham. The Vice Chancellor was officially visiting the Universities of UK to establish new collaborations and to monitor the progress of the scholars of AWKUM. The meeting discussed the academic progress and issues related to scholars in their Universities.  The following scholars attended the meeting and shared their views:

    Mr. Zardad Khan (Statistics) and Mr. Muhammad Sulaiman (Mathematics)
  • University of Sheffield
    Mr. Abid Ur Rehman (Archaeology)
  • University of Leicester
    Mr. Ijaz Khan (Archaeology) and Abdur Rauf (Botony)
  • University of Lancaster
    Mr. Shokat Ali Khattat
  • University of Strathclyde, Glasgow
    Mr. Muhammad Abbas
  • University of Warwick
    Mr. Ghazan Nawaz (Sociology)


The meeting was also attended by Mr. Muhammad Parvez, Lecturer in Mgt. Sciences AWKUM and Mr. Muhammad Zahir Lecturer in Archaeology, Hazara University.

The scholars discussed their issues and progress with the Vice Chancellor and expressed their full satisfaction in projects and arrangements made by the University for them.  The Vice Chancellor appreciated their progress and assured them full support of the University in pursuing their academic goals. The Vice Chancellor pointed out that the contribution of these scholars, after completion of their studies in UK, will be of great significance to the academic growth of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardanin particular and Pakistan in general. The Vice Chancellor encouraged the scholars to work hard and explore avenues of research, to publish research articles/papers in the high profile Journals of the world and complete their studies in the stipulated time.
