Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry has won the Academy of Sciences for the Developing World, commonly known as TWAS Post Doctoral Fellowship. In 2011, TWAS awarded 10 fellowships and Dr.  Ibrahim is the only Pakistani Scientist to have won this fellowship in 2011. 
TWAS is an autonomous international organization, founded in 1983 in Trieste, Italy, by a distinguished group of scientists from the South under the leadership of the late Nobel laureate Abdus Salam of Pakistan. It was officially launched by the secretary-general of the United Nations in 1985.
Dr Ibrahim is a distinguished Scientist in the field of biochemical toxicology. Three of his papers have recently been accepted for publication in peer reviewed high impact international journals.
