Enhancing the capacity of security staff should be extremely important for any professional and public service organization. Security personnel are the first point of contact therefore they have to be highly professional, smart and alert. They should be firm but pleasant and polite.
AWKUM is a dynamic new university developing at a very fast pace but we also regularly identify gaps and have been trying to make improvements. Training our security staff is part of enhancing quality and professionalism. The Directorate of Quality Assurance AWKUM has organized a two part professional training for security staff AWKUM. The first part is on communication skills, professional behavior, polite manners, and public dealing.
The first day of the training started on June 21, 2016 at Garden Campus, which will continue throughout the week. Dean Professor Dr. Jehanzeb Khalil and Dean Professor Dr. Muhammad Niaz joined the opening session of the training and shared their valuable thoughts with the participants. The first session on the role of security guard and importance of communication skills was conducted by Director QEC, Shiraz Paracha.
The Deputy Director Shah Hussain and a student trainer Muhammad Imran contributed by organizing interesting play roles for the participants. AWKUM security in charge Inyat Khan did a wonderful job by professionally preparing participant lists and other necessary arrangements. He also gave his input during the session. Saddam Mayar assisted Director QEC and Muhammad Faisal was on the camera. It was superb team work that will continue throughout the week. We are very impressed with the participants. They are wonderful people.
