Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan grabbed First position in the News International Education Expo 2016. Around 40 institutions from across the country had established outlets in the one-day 'Expo' at the Shiraz Arena - on the top of Deans Trade Centre on May 17, 2016. AWKUM got Best Stall of the Event due to its marvelous performance in meeting the primary objective of the event i.e. career counseling and providing detailed information of the courses being offered at AWKUM.

The Stall of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan was decorated with University calendars, newsletters, brochures, banners and other helpful content that attracted students and visitors from different corners of the Hall. Mr. Shah Hussain Awan, Deputy Director QEC and Mr. Zeeshan Khattak along with students represented the stall of the University and disseminated relevant information that people were interested in. The organizing team was strongly facilitated by Mr. Ibrar Hussain (Provost) and Abid Mehmood (Media section). The chief guest on the occasion was Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information and Higher Education visited Abdul Wali Khan University Stall and exchanged views with the organizers of the stall.

The shield for the Best Stall of the Event was received by Mr. Shah Hussain Awan.
