A ceremony for signing MoC between Department of Agriculture, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan (AWKUM) and College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), Kyungpook National University, Daegu was held on Monday the 2nd of May, 2016 at CALS-KNU, South Korea.

The ceremony was attended by Professor Dong-Hyun Shin, Dean-CALS, Professor In Chul Um, Vice Dean-CALS, Professor Byung-Wook Yun, HOD, Department of Applied Biosciences, Dr. In-Jung Lee, Professor-CALS, Dr. Kyung Min Kim, Professor-CALS, Mr. Sher Alam Khan, Registrar, AWKUM, Dr. Asad Ali, Chairperson, Department of Agriculture, AWKUM, and Dr. Adil Hussain, Assistant Professor, Department of Agriculture, AWKUM, along with other distinguished professors and students of the host institution.

The MOC encompasses mutual collaboration between the two units of the universities for research collaboration and innovation. The Registrar, AWKUM delivered a brief presentation about the Vision, Mission, the academic programs and the Achievements of the university that it attained during the last 6 years with a special focus on the Department of Agriculture, AWKUM. Professor Byung-Wook Yun, HOD also gave a brief introduction about KNU. Professor Dong-Hyun Shin, Dean, CALS, in his remarks highlighted the future prospects of mutual collaboration between the two institutions and hoped that the MoC between the two organizations will serve to further enhance the quest for research and innovation at both the ends. Later on, the Registrar, AWKUM presented copies of the Annual Academic Reports (2013-14) of the university to Professor Dong-Hyun Shin. The ceremony was followed by a visit to the different academic departments and research facilities of the host institution. At the end, the guests were served with a dinner at the Global Campus, KNU.
