German Ambassador in Pakistan, Her Excellency Ina Lepel expressed with Pride that AWKUM has achieved unprecedented success with in short span. She appreciated and applaused the standard of education at AWKUM and she displayed earnest desire for mutual ventures in the fields of research at various levels. She assured the VC about signing MOU in various fields. It was also considered that Seminars and Workshops are to be organized through collaboration and cooperation between AWKUM and the German Universities.

German Ambassador visited various departments, Central Library and Administration block. She took keen interest in well equipped and modern library, where she met PhD scholars, who have done PhD / Research in Germany. The Worthy Vice-Chancellor AWKUM Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali (S.I), Mr. Sheraz Paracha Director QEC, Head of Press & Cultural Section, Dr. Dan Tidten, 1st Secretary Development Almut Knop and HODs and HOS were also present on the occasion. The Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali (S.I) gave a detail briefing about the growth and progress of the University. He declared with pride that 167 PhDs have been working in AWKUM and 87 faculty members have been awarded foreign PhD scholarships, who have been pursuing their research in top ranking world class Universities of Europe and America. The German ambassador also visited, Ancient Ruins at Takht Bhai, earlier to her AWKUM visit.

Curator Museum Meher Taban and her team along Media In-charge Abid Mehmood also accompanied the honorable guests. She admired the World Heritage Site at Takht Bhai and appreciated the taste and Interest of the visitors who visit such places even at such a crucial time. The Ambassador exclaimed with joy that every aspect of the ruins of Takht Bhai, was perfect and unique. In the end, after lunch, the Vice-Chancellor presented shield to the German ambassador as a token of respect & hospitality.
