The Director, Business Incubation Center (AWKUM) Dr. Shahid Jan Kakakhel and Coordinator Business Incubation Center Mr. Shah Hussain Awan participated in the "Women Entrepreneurship Advocacy Session" held on January 20, 2016 at Shelton Green Hotel Peshawar.

The event was organized by Shaoor Foundation in collaboration with USAID to promote women entrepreneurship in Pakistan. The project Women Can Do is women entrepreneurial capacity building initiative. The project not only provides entrepreneurial training in the federal and provincial educational institutions but also creates credible linkages between the existing women entrepreneurs, policy makers and financial service providers in the country.

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan proposed a KPK consortium of women entrepreneurs in collaboration with SMEDA. AWKUM will provide academic support like research expertise etc. SMEDA will facilitate Business Incubation Center AWKUM for strengthening SME's on district level.
