Mr. Saeed Shafiq PhD Scholar,Department of Islamic Studies, AWKUM has successfully defended his Ph.D dissertation publically on 10-12-2015 at Department of Islamic Studies, PCA Block, Garden Campus, AWKUM which was attended by the Ph.D Public Defense Committee i.e. Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammd (External Examiner) Director Shaikh zayed Islamic Center University of Peshawar,Dr. Dr.Muhammad Tahir(Research Supervisor),Prof.Dr.Salimullah Shah(Director Academics, AWKUM),Dr. Hafiz Salihuddin, (Chairperson, Department of Islamic Studies, AWKUM),Prof. Dr. Niaz Muhammad (Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities, AWKUM), faculty members and students especially M.Phil and Ph.D Scholars.

The Scholar presented a comprehensive summary of his Ph.D dissertation. Afterwards, the participants asked various questions regarding the different aspects of his research topic which he answered in a scholarly way. The external examiner also put forth some questions and the scholar responded him positively. As a whole the Scholar successfully defended his PhD thesis publically and is hereby recommended for the award of Ph.D Degree in Islamic Studies.

The chairperson Dr.Hafiz Salihuddin briefed the house about the rapid progress of Department of Islamic Studies and told that this is the 6th PhD Public defense and now the number of our full time Ph.D Faculty Members are 10.
