Department of Biotechnology organized a seminar on "Billion Trees Tsunami Project" on Thursday Dec 03, 2015. Forrest officer Mardan Division, Mr. Sajid Ali, delivered a comprehensive talk on the KPK government's project about tree plantation in the province in which he thoroughly highlighted the benefits of plantation and forestation. Teachers and students from various Departments including Biotechnology, Agriculture, Botany, Environmental Sciences and Geology participated in the seminar. All the arrangements for this seminar were made by the Biotechnology Society of AWKUM (BSA).

Forestry Department of Mardan Division offered free plantation in Garden Campus of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. They are extended their offer of free plantation to all the residents of Mardan.
