Mr. Sohail Anwar, Lecture, Department of Islamic Studies and Mr. Najmul Hassan Demonstrator, AWKUM have successfully defend their Ph.D dissertations on 19-11-2015 at PCA, Garden Campus, AWKUM which was attended by the Ph.D Public Defense Committee i.e. Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad (External Examiner) Director Shaikh Zayed Islamic Center, University of Peshawar, Dr. Muhammd Naeem (Research Supervisor), Dr. Abzahir Khan (Supervisor) Prof. Dr. Salimullah Sha (Director Academics, AWKUM) Prof. Dr. Niaz Muhammad (Dean, Faculty of Arts & Humanities, AWKUM), Dr. Hafiz Salihuddin, (Chairperson, Department of Islamic Studies, AWKUM), faculty members and students especially M.Phil and Ph.D Scholars.

Both Scholars presented the Abstracts of their Ph.D dissertations. Afterwards, the participants asked various questions regarding the different aspects of their research topics which they answered in a scholarly way. The external examiner also put forth some questions and the scholars responded him positively. As a whole they successfully defended their PhD thesis publically and are hereby recommended for the award of Ph.D Degrees in the field of Islamic Studies.

The Director Academics Prof. Dr. Salimullah sha appreciated the contributions of the department and told that such kind of activities effect the university ranking at HEC level and hopefully we shall get the 1t position for the year 2015.The External Examiner also appreciated the matchless contributions of the Chairperson and his team and congratulated the department and AWKUM leadership as well.
