ABDUL WALI KHAN UNIVERSITY MARDAN
Overseas PhD Scholar of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Mr. Muhammad Abbas, successfully defended his PhD thesis entitled DEVELOPMENT OF LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHY MASS SPECTROMETRY METHODS FOR THE MONITORING OF ROPIVACAINE, ENDOGENOUS STEROIDS AND DIHYDROARTEMISININ' at Strathclyde institute of pharmacy and biomedical sciences (SIPBS), University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, which is counted among the finest universities of the world. His thesis was supervised by Dr David G Watson. His external examiner was Professor Frank Pullen (PhD, CSci, CChem, FRSC), a well-known scientist in Pharmaceutical analysis from University of Greenwich, London, UK, while his internal examiner was Dr Alison Thomson (B.Sc. Pharmacy, M.Sc. Clinical Pharmacy, PhD) a senior lecturer in University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.
Mr. Muhammad Abbas was awarded overseas PhD scholarship, on May 23, 2011, by AWKUM for University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, in the subject area of Pharmacy. His PhD course started on November 1, 2011 and in less than 4 years he has been able to complete his PhD under the umbrella of Faculty Development Programme.
