University College for Women Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan celebrated its 6th Foundation Day on October 01, 2015. Deans of Faculties, HoDs, Principals of Constituent colleges, Chief Proctor and Faculty were present on the occasion. Principal UCW Miss Seema while addressing the gathering said that at present the college offers BS programmes in six different disciplines. The College has 28 classrooms where 700 students are being provided quality education.

On the occasion Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali (SI) Vice Chancellor AWKUM inaugurated 08 new classrooms. The New Block consisting of 08 classrooms was named after student Sumaira Naz who has got first position in the BA Examination. Computer Lab and a Library were also inaugurated on the occasion. The Library can accommodate more than 01 Lac books which was named after Ayesha. Vice Chancellor while addressing on the occasion said that UCW is one of the most beautiful colleges of the Province and would prove to be a Women University in future.

He urged the students to focus their attention on education that they may play positive role along with men in the development of the nation. Only education can raise the people and nations to glories and the one who doesn't strive hard remain unsuccessful in the struggle of life.
