The Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) organized a one day workshop on "Turnitin Software and HEC Plagiarism Policy" on August 20, 2015 in the Garden Campus. Focal persons from various departments participated in the workshop. The Deputy Director QEC AWKUM welcomed the participants. Mr. Shah Husain Awan (DD QEC) and Dr. Zahoor Jan (Assistant Professor, Islamia College University Peshawar) gave a detailed and comprehensive presentation on HEC Plagiarism Policy at institution level. A detailed session on the use of Turnitin took place.

Director QEC Prof. Dr. Zahoor Ul Haq, who also chaired the session gave a comprehensive address about the policy. He stressed and referred to the functions of QEC including implementation of Plagiarism Policy. He stated that "QEC is responsible for promoting public confidence that the quality and standards of the award of degrees are enhanced and safeguarded". QEC has to assured the standards of quality through implementation of HEC Plagiarism Policy.
