PhD Scholar of the Department of Mathematics, AWKUM, Mr. Altaf Khan successfully defended his PhD thesis. His PhD thesis was titled "Mathematical Model and Stability Analysis of Different Infectious diseases".

On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, Director Academics, Prof. Dr. ZahoorUlHaq, Chairman Department of Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Saeed Islam, Chairman Department of Pharmacy, Dr. Haroon Khan, Director ORICS, Mr. Tariq Mehmood, heads of all the sections, faculty members and students were present.

Mr. Altaf Khan successfully answered questions relating to his PhD thesis, asked by the attendants.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali reiterated that we should emphasize more and more on quality research. While congratulating Mr. Altaf Khan, Prof. Dr. Ali added that due to quality research AWKUM has been ranked 12th across the country and 2nd in the province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, after University of Peshawar, as per the latest HEC University Rankings.

Mr. Altaf Khan has 50 publications and it is pertinent to mention here that in the previous week 4 scholars completed their PhDs from the Department of Mathematics, AWKUM.
