Meeting of the 12th Syndicate of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan was held on July 9, 2015. The meeting was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali.

In the meeting, Mrs. Nasreen Azam Khan Hoti, Special Secretary Establishment, Mr. Aziz Khan Khattak, Deputy Secretary Finance, Mr. Taj Muhammad, Director Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority, Mr. Ajaz Yousafzai, Director Technical Education, Mr. Shakeel Ahmad, Principal Post Graduate College Mardan, Mr. Fayaz Ali Shah, Principal Women Post Graduate College Mardan, Mrs. Haleema Begum, Dean Faculty of Sciences (AWKUM), Prof. Dr. Khanzadi Fatima, Dr. Saeed Islam, Lecturer Department of Law, Mr. Muhammad Zubair, Lecturer Department of Journalism and Mass Communication, Mr. Farhad Safi, Principal University College of Sciences Shankar, Dr. Zahid Hussain, Controller of Examination, Dr. Riasat Ali, Ex IG, Mr. Aziz Khan, Registrar, Mr. Sher Alam Khan, Special Secretary Higher Education, Mr. Abdul Ghafur Baig and Representative of Higher Education, Dr. Sakhawat Shah were present.

The meeting approved minutes of the 11th Syndicate as well as the recommendations of the 30th and 31st Selection Board. The meeting also approved establishment of 4 new departments in the University which includes Pashto, International Relations, Microbiology and Psychology. Further, the meeting also approved recommendations of the 12th Affiliation Committee.

Through a unanimous resolution, the meeting applauded the services of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali and paid a special tribute to the numerous milestones the University achieved under his emphatic leadership.
