Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan grabbed 2nd position in the International Education Expo 2015, organized by the Jang Media Group at Peshawar Garrison Club on May 19, 2015. In the event, more than 20 prestigious universities from all over the country participated making the event highly competitive.

Due to its marvelous performance in meeting the primary objective of the event i.e. career counseling and providing detailed information of the courses being offered at AWKUM, the University was awarded 2nd prize. The Stall of Abdul Wali Khan University was decorated with University calendars, newsletters, brochures, banners and other helpful content that attracted students and visitors from various corners of the Hall. Mr. Deputy Director QEC, Mr. Shah Hussain Awan, along with his students from the Department of Management Sciences and Department of Bio Technology represented the stall of Abdul Wali Khan University and disseminated relevant information that people were interested in.

The students of the Departments of Bio Technology and Management Sciences actively took part in various sub-events at the Education Expo and won several prizes in different categories. Governor KPK, Mr. Sardar Mehtab Abbasi, who was the Chief Guest on the occasion, visited AWKUM stall and appreciated the efforts of the University in providing quality education at door step.

The shield for the 1st runner up University i.e. Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan was received by Mr. Shah Hussain Awan and Mr. Abid Mehmood.
