The Museum at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan is a great example of Art. This was said by the famous Archaeologist, Prof. Dr. Ruth Young from University of Leicester, UK.

On the occasion, Curator Museum, Ms. MeherTabaan was also present. Prof. Dr. Ruth Young was briefed regarding the various sections and galleries of the Museum by the Curator. While briefing, the Curator said 'the University Museum is uniquely designed as compared to other Museums in Pakistan'. Prof. Dr Ruth Young visited the various departments at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

On the occasion, Prof. Young reiterated that 2 PhD scholars of AWKUM are under her supervision at University of Leicester, UK in the subject area of Archaeology.

While meeting with the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr.Ihsan Ali, Prof. Dr. Young said that the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and specifically the city of Mardan are of utmost importance in terms of ancient civilization. Prof. Dr. Young also visited Hund, Swabi and ShahbazGarhi sites.
