Mr. Shah Hussain Awan, Ms Shahnaz Sahibzada and Ms Zarghuna Suleman (Faculty members, Department of Management Sciences, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan) delivered presentations on the topics "Negotiation Skills" and "Handling of Vulnerable Groups in Public Disorders" in a training event that was held in the Police School of Public Disorder & Riot Management, Mardan on May 06, 2015.

This initiative was taken by the honorable Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali during his visit to the School as Chief Guest in a Certificate Distribution Ceremony of the trainees. Dr. Shahid Jan Kakakhel (Chairman, Department of Management Sciences) as per directives of the Vice Chancellor AWKUM further facilitated the process as part of the community engagement program. The Department of Management Sciences intends to sign MoU with the School for future collaborations.

The School of Public Disaster & Riot Management is the only School of its kind in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and it aims to produce positive changes in the attitude of Police Force.
