A seven member delegation of Bahrain media visited Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. The delegation was headed by the President, Bahrain Sports Media Committee, Mr.Muhammad Qasim. Representatives of Bahrain Newspapers and Television Channels were also present.
The delegation met with the Vice-Chancellor, AWKUM, Prof. Dr.Ihsan Ali. Alongside the Vice-Chancellor, the delegation visited the under construction buildings of the University and participated in a friendly 'Tug of War'contest with the students. The delegation also visited the Library and academic blocks at Garden Campus.
While expressing his views, the Head delegate reiterated 'We wish to see the students from Bahrain attaining higher education at AWKUM as the university is blessed with highly qualified faculty and possesses all the required, on campus, facilities'
On the occasion Prof. Dr.Ihsan Ali, while speaking to the gathering, said that AWKUM will provide free education to the students of Bahrain. He further added that AWKUM is providing a peaceful and cognitive environment for foreign students.
Later, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ali presented University shields to the delegates and served lunch in their honour.
On the occasion, the Chairman, Malik Saad Trust, Mr. Malik Amjad Aziz, Registrar, AWKUM, Mr.SherAlam Khan, Dean Faculty of Sciences, Prof Dr.Khanzadi Fatima Khattak, Sport Director, University of Peshawar, Mr.Behramand Khan, Provost, AWKUM, Mr.IbrarHussain and Sports Director, Mr.Farooq Husain were also present.
