ABDUL WALI KHAN UNIVERSITY MARDAN

Chairman, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, Mr. Imran Khan's wife Mrs. Reham Khan delivered a great speech on occasion of the final match of Mrs. Malik Saad Women Cricket Cup at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan and received profound applaud from the audience.

She said that she felt pleased to see thousands of students at AWKUM and being received warmly at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. She further added that in other provinces of the country as well as in other countries, many negative things are propagated about Khyber Pakunkhwa but the reality is that people of this province are more peace loving than anyone else.

She also said that we have fights at our home only on cricket because it's very hard to watch cricket with the cricket legend, Imran Khan therefore in his absence I enjoyed watching the final today. On a lighter note, she added that Mr. Imran Khan had planned to come alongside me for this event but when he got to know that it's going to be an event of females, he felt shy and changed his mind.

On the occasion there were chants of 'Bhabi Bhabi' in the crowd.

Mrs. Reham Khan alongside Provincial Minister for Education, Mr. Atif Khan and Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali visited the University Museum and took a deep interest in the galleries depicting the Gandhara Civilization and Pashtun culture. Students, dressed in traditional pashtun outfits, served spinach and corn bread to Mrs. Reham Khan and she seemed enjoying eating the traditional pashtun cuisine.

Mrs. Reham Khan, on her visit to University Museum, reiterated that such museums should be established on college levels as well so that the generations to come are in picture with their own culture and civilization. She visited the Mardan, Swat, Peshawar, Kailaash and other galleries of the museum and took deep interest in the traditional dresses displayed in the museum. She said that she has been told that approval has been granted for the establishment of Women University in Mardan and very soon the Women University will be established. While appreciating the performance of Mardan Women Cricket team, Mrs. Reham Khan said that Mardan has made us proud.
