Head of the Accreditation Inspection Committee (AIC), NAEAC, Dr. Muhammad Ihsan Tasneem, members Professor Dr. Shad Khan Khalil and Professor Dr. Noor-ul-Amin from the University of Agriculture, Peshawar and Secretary Naseer Alam Khan visited the Department of Agriculture, AWKUM on April 1, 2015 for onsite visit of the degree program B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture in Agronomy, Horticulture and Food Science & Technology.

The Dean Faculty of Science, Professor Dr. Khanzadi Fatima Khattak, Director Academics, Professor Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Chairman Department of Agriculture, Dr. Asad Ali and faculty members of the department were also present on the occasion. All members were taken on board regarding the decision of onsite visit and inspection of the Department of Agriculture.

The visit of the AIC started with the overview of the University and various disciplines of the Department of the Agriculture by the Chairman Dr. Asad Ali, followed by the examination of record and documents of; courses taught by various faculty members of the Department of Agriculture, Board of Studies (BOS) and Board of Faculty (BOF) meetings, student assessment instruments and criteria, admission policy, student results, department infrastructure including classrooms, laboratories, library, books, committee rooms and common rooms.

The members of the AIC conducted individual meetings with each faculty member and students of each discipline of the Department of Agriculture for the evaluation of the ongoing degree programmes. Participatory SWOT analysis was also carried out with the faculty and students and Self-Assessment Reports (SAR) were discussed in detail.

At the end of the meeting, the Committee members along with the Dean Faculty of Science and Chairman Department of Agriculture met with the Vice Chancellor, AWKUM Professor Dr. Ihsan Ali (S.I) and acknowledged his dynamic leadership and the arrangements made for their visit. The Committee forwarded their recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor for further improvement and strengthening of the Department of Agriculture.

At the end Professor, Dr. Ihsan Ali assured the AIC that their comments and recommendations are highly valued by the University administration and every possible step would be taken for the betterment and improvement of the Department of Agriculture, AWKUM.
