Upon recommendation of Mr. Fazli Sattar, Principle Pakhtunkhwa College of Arts (PCA), AWKUM, Mr. Abid-ur-Rehman and Mr. Nasir Ali from PCA have presented their joint paper entitled 'Cultural Profile of Khuber Pakhtunkhwa' in the National Conference on Cultural Heritage organized by Bahawalpur Museum in collaboration with Information and Culture Department, Bahawalpur from March 26-27, 2015 at Bahawalpur Museum, South Punjab, Pakistan. The core aim of the conference was to provide platform for scholars/researchers from around the country to see their contributions in the field of cultural heritage studies.

Mr. Rehman and Ali while presenting their paper acknowledged the contributions of Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali (Vice Chancellor, AWKUM) in the field of Archaoelogy, Culture, Art and History and shared with audience Prof. Ali's achievements from AWKUM (2009-2015), during his stay at Hazara University Mansehra (2006-09) and as Director Archaeology and Museums from (2002-06). Followed by discussion on the cultural profile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They said that the history of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has started from the Prehistoric Period and its evidences are recovered through excavations at the site of Sangao Cave, District Mardan, dating back to 40,000 years B.P. followed by the period of Indus Valley Civilization in KP and Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali's (Vice Chancellor, AWKUM) excavations at Rehman Dheri, Gandi Umar Khan and Jandi Baber were presented as an evidences. After that the regions of KP witnessed the arrival of Aryans then the great Gandhara Civilization emerged and flourished here from 6 Century BC upto 9-10 Century AD. Followed by Hindu Shahi's, Ghaznavids, Mughals, Durrani's, Sikh's, Britishers and finally the post-independent period of Pakistan.

At the end both scholars had paid their sincere gratitude's to all participants and congratulated the organizers for their efforts.
