The QEC, AWKUM successfully participated in the 7th meeting in Phase IV QEC's held on 30 – 31st December, 2014 at Mural Hall, HEC Islamabad. Prof. Dr. Sher Afzal Khan, Director QEC delivered a brief presentation on the progress of AWKUM and QEC. The following items were presented:

01.   2nd International Conference on Computational and Social Sciences in Turkey (ICCSS-14)
02.   3rd International Conference on Computational and Social Sciences (ICCSS-15) to be held in University of Technology Malaysia in August, 2015.
03.   Existing PhD faculty
04.   Overseas and indigenous scholarships awarded by Abdul Wali Khan University.
05.   Departments and Programs
06.   Overall performance of QEC from June 2013 to December 2015.
07.   Actions taken against the weaknesses identified in Self Assisment Reports (SARs).
08.   Workshops arranged by QEC in AWKUM.
09.  Discussing and assigning action plans for the year 2015.
10.  Discussion on New Format for YPR.

Prof. Dr. Rafiq Baloch, Director General Quality Assurance Agency HEC, appreciated the efforts made by AWKUM. He said that the progress of AWKUM as compared to other Universities is amazing.
In concluding remarks Prof. Dr. Rafiq Baloch, Director General Quality Assurance Agency HEC, appreciated the efforts of Quality Enhancement Cells in bringing quality in higher education institutions. He stressed the Directors to fasten the teacher and course evaluation and self assisment reports in order to enhance the quality of teaching and research at university level.
