51st Meeting of the Scholarship Selection Committee, AWKUM, was held on December 19, 2014 under the Chairmanship of the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali.
The meeting was attended by the Dean Faculty of Arts, Prof. Dr. Jehanzeb Khan, Dean Faculty of Sciences, Prof. Dr. Khanzadi Fatima, Registrar, Mr. Sher Alam Khan, Treasurer, Mr. Muhammad Tariq, Deputy Treasurer, Mr. Arsh-Ur-Rehman, Provost, Mr. Ibrar Hussain, Acting Director Planning, Mr. Sayim Sohail, Acting Director QEC, Mr. Shafeeq Ullah and Assistant Director HRD, Mr. Afzaal Humayun Khan.
The meeting discussed and evaluated applications for Bacha Khan Scholarships. The meeting also awarded Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Dr. Nazif Ullah, Assistant Professor, Department of Bio-technology, for University of Wisconsin Madison, USA, ranked 41 as per the QS World University Rankings 2014/15. The meeting also awarded Post-Doctoral Fellowship to Dr. Nadeem Iqbal, Assistant Professor, Department of Computer Science, for University of Leeds, UK, ranked 97 as per the QS World University Rankings 2014/15.
On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali reiterated that it's marvelous seeing our faculty going to the top universities of the world for Post-Doctoral Fellowships. He also said that so far AWKUM has awarded 10 Post-Doc Fellowships in less than a year's time. He further said that there couldn't be any better opportunity for the academicians of any university/institution than conducting their Post-Doc research in the quality universities of the world.
