ABDUL WALI KHAN UNIVERSITY MARDAN

Govt. of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa intends "Establishment of Abdul Wali Khan University at Palatoo Site, Mardan," and Assistant Director Works (E), Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) therefore invites sealed Bids from the well reputed firms for the Supplying Installation, Commissioning, Testing & Maintenance Of Escalators/ Lifts (Package-F) at AWKUM. Contracting firms must have a valid License of Constructor in relevant category with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) Islamabad. Bidding in line with the PEC bidding documents for Electrical & Mechanical works accordance with comprising of "Technical Bids & Priced Bids". A joint venture is also eligible for bidding.


1. Only eligible bidders with following qualification should participate in the bidding:

2. Sealed Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security as mentioned below in the form of Call Deposit Receipt (CDR) / Pay Order / Bank Draft or Bank Guarantee from the Scheduled Bank of Pakistan in the name of Treasurer, Abdul Wali Khan University, Mardan.

Bids must be delivered to the undersigned on or before 16 September, 2014 upto 10:00 hours.
Bids will be opened at 11:00 hours on the same day (i.e. 16 September, 2014), in the presence of duly authorized bidder's representatives who choose to attend the Bid Opening session.
A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by eligible interested bidders w.e.f 15 August, 2014 on submitting a written application to the aforesaid office on the original company letter pad along with a copy of PEC valid Registration / License in Category C-5 or above (Code-ME-03) upon payment of a non-refundable fee of PKR 10,000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only). The sale of bidding documents will be closed on 13 September, 2014 upto 1600 hours.

3. A pre-bid meeting shall be held on 8 September , 2014 at 1200 hours in the conference room of the AWKUM. Bidders are invited to attend the meeting.

4. Following guidelines must be noted:
   • The Bids must be submitted & the Bid Security should be enclosed.
   • Conditional, incomplete, unsigned and bid filled with lead pencil are not acceptable at all.
   • Usage of correction fluid & corrections are strictly prohibited unless duly initialed.
   • The Contractor must provide 2 copies of their bids along with the original bid.

5. AWKUM may ask for further information & details from time to time if required.

6. Bidder is essentially required to provide correct and latest postal, email & web address phone / mobile / fax numbers at the time of purchase of Bidding Document for active & timely communication.
