Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali reiterated that it is the need of the hour that students, along with acquiring quality education, must also be introduced to latest technology. This, he said in a high level meeting.

Prof. Dr. Ali further said that we are planning to establish Department of Nanophysics at AWKUM for which a special committee has been constituted under the supervision of the Dean of the Science, Prof. Dr. Khanzadi Fatima. The committee comprises of the Registrar, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Prof. Dr. Inayat, Islamia University, Prof. Dr. Ikram-ul-Haq, University of Peshawar and Director Academics, Dr. Qasim. The committee has been given special directives to plan and check feasibility of establishing Department of Nanophysics within two months and submit a detailed report in this regard.

Prof. Dr. Ali said that Nanophysics is an important field and there is scarcity of Nanophysics specialists in Pakistan. In future, PhD scholarships would be given to produce scholars and researchers in Nanophysics.
