45th meeting of the Scholarship Selection Committee, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, held on July 14, 2014 at the Main Campus. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali.

The Registrar, Prof. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Dean of Arts, Prof. Dr. Jehanzeb Khan, Dean of Science, Prof. Dr. Khanzadi Fatima, Director Academics, Dr. Qasim, Director Human Resource Development (HRD), Dr. Amir Zaman, Treasurer, Mr. Muhammad Tariq, Deputy Treasurer, Mr. Arsh-ur-Rehman, Provost, Mr. Ibrar Hussain, Deputy Director Planning & Development, Mr. Sayim Sohail and Assistant Director HRD, Mr. Afzaal Humayun Khan attended the meeting.

In the meeting, Ms. Saman Yaqub, Lecturer Department of Zoology and Mr. Zeeshan Anwar, Lecturer Department of Pharmacy, were awarded overseas PhD scholarships. Ms. Saman Yaqub has been awarded scholarship in Zoology at University of Leicester. UK while Mr. Zeeshan Anwar has been awarded scholarship in Pharmacy at Trinity College of Dublin, UK.

Addressing the attendees of the meeting, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali reiterated that it is our first and foremost responsibility to educate our faculty and we have been doing so since the very beginning. He further said we will keep strengthening our faculty both academically and professionally so that they could cope with the modern day challenges. In the end, Prof. Dr. Ali congratulated the recipients of the overseas PhD scholarship.
