41st meeting of the Scholarship Selection Committee, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, was held on April 16, 2014 at the Main Campus. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Chancellor, AWKUM, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali.

The meeting was attended by: Registrar, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Dean of Science, Dr. Khanzadi Fatima, Director Human Resource Development, Dr. Amir Zaman, Director Academics, Dr. Qasim, Treasurer, Muhammad Tariq, Deputy Treasurer, Arsh-ur-Rehman, Deputy Director Planning & Development, Mr. Sayim Sohail and Assistant Director Human Resource Development, Mr. Afzaal Humayun Khan.

In the meeting, applications for Overseas PhD scholarships and Bacha Khan M. Phil/PhD scholarships were discussed and evaluated. The meeting also discussed the overall selection criteria for Mevlana Exchange Programme.

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has signed Mevelana Exchange Programme Protocol with Recep Tayyip Erdogan University, Turkey, Eskiseher Osmangazi University, Turkey, and Pamukkale University, Turkey.

On the occasion, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali reiterated that it is our primary objective to educate our faculty. He further said that it is mandatory for us to strengthen our faculty academically as well as professionally in order to stand shoulder to shoulder with reputed universities of the country.

In the end Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali signed Mevlana Exchange Programme Protocol with Srinak University, Turkey thus taking a step forward towards the internationalization of higher education.
