Deputy Commissioner Mardan, Mr. Aamir Latif Khan said that youth is the future of the nation and they can earn a name for the country by specializing in various fields of life. He was chief guest in the Photography Competition that was held at Abdul Wali Khan University, in connection with the provincial government's program entitled "Youth Carnival".
Mr. Aamir Latif Khan distributed prizes among the winners of the competition. On the occasion the Registrar, Prof. Dr. Zahoor-ul-Haq, Prvosot, Ibrar Hussaind and Chairman Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Mr. Farhad were also present.
Mr. Aamir further said in his address that we are organizing a complete event in order to nourish and unleash the talent of the youth. He added that Photography, Short filming, debate competition, calligraphy and poetry competitions are being held in the entire division where students from government as well as private universities are participating. He said that there is no scarcity of talent in our youth, the need is to just provide them a platform where their skills and talent could be exposed and the provincial government has taken a revolutionary step in this regard. He added that with such competitions the youth learn to handle their nerves which will help them in their practical lives.
In photography competition, Zeeshan Yousafzai, student of the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, AWKUM secured 1st prize, Mr. Kashif from ANSI college secured 2nd while Mr. Babar Ali of Post Graduate College Mardan grabbed 3rd position.
Students from 19 colleges participated in the competition.
