The honorable Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Mr. Pervaiz Khattak held a meeting with the Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

The Vice chancelloer AWKUM, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali briefed the honorable CM regarding developments in the University. The CM assured the VC that Planning Commission will be approached for inclusion of Phase II AWKUM in the PSDP while Phase 3 will be included in the coming ADP.

The Total cost that will incur over Phase III is Rs.4700 million. Possibilities regarding Women university at Mardan in the existing Main Campus of AWKUM and up-gradation of Timergara and Buner campus, AWKUM to full fledge universities was also discussed in the meeting. Mr. Iftikhar Mashwani, MPA Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf and Mr.Arshur Rahman, Deputy Treasurer AWKUM, were also present in the meeting.
