Mr. Mohammad Ajaz Lecturer in the Department of Physics, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan has successfully defended his PhD thesis on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology Islamabad. His thesis was supervised by Prof. Mais Sulelymanov, a foreign Professor of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan. Besides the committee members, including Dean of Sciences, Chairman Department of Physics, Head of the Department of Physics, his Supervisor, and two external examiners, it was an open session and a large number of MS and PhD students participated in this presentation. After an hour presentation followed by a one and a half hours viva, his thesis was approved by the committee members for final PhD degree. He is a member of the ALICE (A Large Ion Collider Experiment) collaboration at CERN (European organization for nuclear research). Mr. Ajaz has published 28 papers in international journals with total impact factor of 59.917.
