ABDUL WALI KHAN UNIVERSITY MARDAN
Overseas PhD Scholarships for Faculty Development

APPLICATIONS INVITED

Applications are invited from eligible candidates having valid domicile of Khyber Pakhtunkhwafor Overseas PhD Scholarships in technologically advanced countries in the following Disciplines:

01. Bio-Chemistry 02. Computer Science
03. Bio-technology 04. Zoology

Basic Eligibility Criteria:

01. The Candidate must have 18 years of education in the relevant subject with CGPA not less than 3.0 out of 4.0 and should not have more than two 2nd Divisions and no 3rd Division in the entire academic career.
02. The Candidate must have a valid IELTS Score of 6.5 Band with a minimum of 5.5 in each module or equivalent TOEFL Score. (Candidates having MPhil/MS degree from English speaking country are exempted from IELTS)
03. Maximum age limit is 35 years except for candidatesworking on a regular basis in Public Sector whose maximum age limit is 40 years by closing date of submission of application.
04. Candidates who are already availing HEC/Govt./University or any other Scholarship are not eligible to apply.

Submission of Documents:

The following documents are required to be submitted along with application form:-

01. Attested photocopies of all educational testimonials.
02. Attested photocopy of CNIC.
03. CV/Resume.
04. Research Proposal.
05. Statement of Purpose.
06. IELTS Score Card

Important Note:

01. Candidate will be shortlisted by the University Scholarship Selection Committee.
02. Shortlisted candidates will be offered faculty positions after qualifying the University Selection Board.
03. The Awardees will have to execute a bond with the Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan (AWKUM) to serve the University for at least 05 years after completion of the study.
04. During the period of study either salary or stipend will be paid.

01. Application Forms can be downloaded from here (Click to Download). Printed copy of the application form can be obtained from Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Main Campus and also from Buner, Chitral, Pabbi, and Timergara campuses of AWKUM.

Application Form, complete in all respects along with a Bank DepositSlip of Rs. 1,000/- (non-refundable) in favour of AbdulWali Khan UniversityMardan (A/C No. 01-167-0007-8Allied Bank Limited, MardanCantt, Branch Code 0273) as processing fee, should reach the undersigned by Monday, 26th August, 2013.
