Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, inaugurated English Language Laboratory at the Main Campus of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan on 2nd July, 2013.

Mr. Naveed Khattak, Chairman Department of English, during his opening speech briefed the gathering with the significance of the English Language Laboratory and the various ways in which students, faculty and administrative staff would be benefited from it. Through a power point presentation Mr. Naveed Khattak conveyed to the audience the ample courses that the English Language Laboratory would introduce in short and long term. He further added that English Language Laboratory would also facilitate the students, faculty and staff members with GAT, GRE, TOEFL and IELTS.

Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, very delighted on the occasion said “I still remember this place; the way it was back in 2009 and I see it the way it is now, there is a huge difference and that difference is vision, dedication and strong commitment”. He further said that through English Language Laboratory we will educate people from every region, we will teach them communication skills as well as computer skills so that they could then teach others and this way the cycle would go on and on. In the end of his speech he felicitated the Chairman and faculty members of Department of English and encouraged them to come up with more such benefiting Labs.

In the end of the ceremony, Mr. Naveed Khattak, Chairman Department of English extended thanks to the worthy Vice Chancellor and all the staff members, faculty and guests.
