Meeting of the 22nd Selection Board of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan was held from 21st to 23rd June, 2013 at the Main Campus, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan. The meeting was chaired by Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

Prof. Dr. Nasir Jamal Vice Chancellor Kohat University of Science and Technology, Prof. Dr. Nasser Ali Khan Vice Chancellor University of Haripur, Prof. Dr. Johar Ali Vice Chancellor University of Malakand, Prof. Dr. Fazal Rahim Marwat Vice Chancellor Bacha Khan University Charsadda, Mr. Aziz Khan former member Federal Public Service Commission, Dr. Saeed Islam Registrar AWKUM, Prof. Dr. Saeed Anwar Dean Faculty of Sciences and various subject experts were part of the Selection Board.

In the meeting candidates were interviewed for the vacant posts of Assistant Professors  and Lecturers in Department of Pharmacy, Agriculture, Education, Bio-Technology, Health and Physical Education, Political Science, Statistics, English, Environmental Sciences, Computer Sciences, Tourism & Hospitality, Arabic, Chemistry, Zoology and Management Sciences.

In the meeting candidates were also interviewed and evaluated for Overseas PhD Scholarships. Candidates residing in Malaysia, Italy, Spain, Germany, France and UK were interviewed online through Skype.

Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali, Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan on the occasion reiterated that selection of Lecturers, Assistant Professors and Overseas PhD Scholarships would be done purely on merit basis. He said that no compromise whatsoever would be made on the predominance ofmerit and ensured that merit would stay prevalent in the whole process.
