Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan grabbed second position in the International Education Expo 2013 organized by the Jang Media Group at Peshawar Garrison Club on June 10th& 11th, 2013. More than 12 universities from the province participated in the Education Expo which made the competition lively and tough.

AWKUM got 2nd prize due to its marvelous performance in meeting the primary objective of the event i.e. career counseling and providing detailed information of the courses being offered at AWKUM. The Stall of Abdul Wali Khan University was decorated with University calendars, newsletters, brochures, banners and other helpful content that attracted students and visitors from different corners of the Hall. The students of Journalism & Mass Communication and Management Sciences Department actively took part in different sub events at the Education Expo and won several prizes in various categories.
