Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan holds a one day National Seminar on “National Politics and Foreign Policy of Pakistan” on 25th April, 2013. The Seminar was organized by the department of Political Science, Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.
The Seminar was chaired by the Vice Chancellor, Abdul Wali Khan University, Prof. Dr Ihsan Ali who delivered welcome address to all the guest speakers and participants of the seminar. On the occasion. he spoke about politics and the emergence of politics in this part of the globe.
A plethora of scholars and analysts were invited in the seminar as guest speakers. The Vice Chancellor Gomal University Prof. Dr Mansoor Kundi, Vice Chancellor Bacha Khan University Charsadda Prof. Dr. Fazal e Rahim Marwat , Senior analyst / Journalist Rahim Ullah Yousafzai, Prof. Dr. Ijaz Hussain Quaid-e- Azam University, Prof. Dr. Ishtiaq Ahmad Chaudhry National Defence University Islamabad, Prof. Dr.Zahid Anwar University of Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khan National Defence University Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Razia Sultana University of Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Ijaz Khan University of Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Sarfaraz Khan Khurejo Shah Abdul Latif University Khairpur, Prof. Dr. Ayub Jan, Miss Uzma Gul University of Peshawar, Prof. Dr. Adnan Sarwar and Chairman Department of Political Science, Abdul Wali Khan University Prof. Dr. Jehanzeb addressed the gathering on different elements and aspects of national politics and foreign policy of Pakistan.
A vast number of students from various departments of the university attended the seminar with great Interest. The students actively participated in the seminar by asking questions about the politics, integrity and foreign policy of Pakistan from the speakers.
The Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali khan University, Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali spoke on the occasion that such kind of events should be held on frequent basis. He was also of the opinion that such seminars are of great significance as they disseminate relevant information.
The dean of arts Prof. Dr. Zahoor-Ul-Haq concluded the seminar by sharing his comments and observations regarding this seminar. He also held question and answer session at the later part of the seminar in which most of the participants actively participated.
