The general terms for MoU between Easter University , North Cyprus and Awkum have been agreed upon. According to the present agreement (MoU) both the institutions will cooperate and collaborate for improving, and strengthing the relations between the respective institution.  There are three articles in the agreement.

Article I. Both the universities expressed their intentions to promote faculty, students and research scholars through mutual projects.

Article II.In this part of the agreement the general principles were high lightened  by both the universities.Main points are as under.

I.  Exchange of academic staff  and students for mutual projects

II. Provision of opportunities through invitations  to scholars and students of both the universities for particalpating in academic activities, such as exhibition, lectures, conferences, symposia and workshops.

III. Exchange of experiences and opinions for mutual benefit.

IV. Joint research in fields of common interest was Promoted.

V. Research and academic data may be exchanged for learning and training purposes.

VI. Split Degree Program in certain fields was initiated.

VII. Opportunities for faculty members to work on joint project in both the universities for mutual support and research.

VIII. Relief in charges was agreed upon for the Ph.D Scholars of AWKUM.

IX. Two 100%Fee scholarship for masters students and 50% Fee scholarship to all other master students.

X. Student of AWKUM through exchange students Program will read one semester free at EMU.

XI. An initiative through application to TRNC Govt for two full supported scholarship for undergraduate student of AWKUM and 50% tuition fee scholarships to all other awkumian in under graduate programs

XII. Arrangements for postdoctoral research programs

XIII Professional development of faculty through short visit to both the universities.

XIV. Split Ph.D and Masters programs are to be launched in various disciplines where the tuition fee will be paid to the university, the scholar is attending.

Article III. the agreement is written in English ,copied in two and signed. This draft will turn into an a agreement by the time it has been signed by the authorized representatives of the two universities .It will remain for a term of five years. It can be renewed for another five years period pertent to the mutual consent of the institutions. It can also be terminated through a written notice at least three months before, Such termination will not hamper or offeat the undertaken project or scheme of studies
