In order to provide an opportunity to researchers to get together and present their research work in field of Zoology, a 3-day Pakistan congress of Zoology conference (international) was held at Jinnah Convention Centre Islamabad from 02 to 04 April, 2013. Federal Secretary Ministry of Science and technology Akhlaq Tarar inaugurated the international conference. Pakistan Museum of Natural History (PMNH), Pir Mehar Ali Shah (PMAS) Arid Agriculture University had organized this event. In the event 1,500 professors, researchers, professionals, field biologists, conservationists, wildlife park managers, foresters, students, Ph.D. scholars, and members of NGOs from national and international institutions attended the congress and presented their deliberations. More than 500 research papers were presented by the researchers from all over the country.

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan was represented by the Faculty Members and Students of Zoology Department, Buner Campus. Mr. Jehangir khan, Kausar Saeed and Shahroz Khan presented their research papers. The presenters acknowledged and thanked Prof. Dr. Ihsan Ali Vice Chancellor AWKUM & Prof. Dr. Saleem Khan Coordinator Buner Campus for encouraging them to participate in the Congress.
