Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan, Bacha Khan Campus Chitral celebrated Plantation Day on March 22, 2013.The function was attended by Heads of Departments in the administration, faculty member of the University, representatives of civil society and students. Deputy Commissioner Chitral, Rahmat Ullah Wazir, while speaking at the function highlight the role of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan in the field of education and its contribution to the society. Other speakers included Divisional forest officer Shaokat Fayaz Khattak, Coordinator AWKUM, Bacha Khan Campus Dr. Inayat Ullah Faizi and president Bar Association Ghulam Hazrat Inqilabi advocate. Later Deodar siblings were planted in the lawn by Deputy Commissioner Rahmat Ullah Wazir, Commandant Chitral Scouts Col. Nasir Jadoon, Prof Anwar Khan, Administrative Officer of BKCC and other dignitaries. At the occasion Bacha Khan Campus Chitral, AWKUM planted 220 Deodar and fruits plants, in which 120 plants donated by Forest Departments Chitral.
