ABDUL WALI KHAN UNIVERSITY MARDAN

Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan celebrated its 5th Foundation Day with full zeal and excitement. Professor Dr. Ihsan Ali displayed happiness in the flag hoisting ceremony at the Mian campus. On the occasion, a huge gathering including staff, faculty and students were present; namely the Registrar, Deputy Registrars and Heads of the campuses. Afterward, awards distributing ceremony was held in the University Auditorium. The Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Ihsan Ali distributed awards among the winners including.

Muhammad Aslam (driver), Muhammad Akbar (security guard), Amjid Islam (gardener), Qasim Yaqoob (sweeper), Maaz Muhammad (cook), Rahim Dad Khan (naib qasid), Kashif Ahmed (KP), Yasrab Ali (Asst. Superintendent), Muzzamil shah (superintendent), Hina Haneef (3rd position in Urdu declamation), Bakht Nawab (2nd position in Urdu declamation) whereas; Sarfaraz (1st position in Urdu declamation). In English declamation Zahid Muhammad (3rd position), Adil Khan (2nd position)  and Yasir Ahmed received 1st position. Also; Kainat, Umer Ateeq, Yasir Ahmed, Anila Sardar, Sana Farooq, Alia Rasool, Muhammad Israr Rohaan, Sakhawat, Abid Mehmud (media section), Pir Asfandiyar (procurement officer), Safiq-UllAh Kaka Khel & Arsh-Ur-Rehman (Treasure Office), Muhammad Idrees (proctor), Rafique Nawab, Miss Shaista begum, Miss Kiran Shah Jeer, Sonia Basheer, Miss Naseem Rafique, Maj (R) Arshad Sohail, Muhammad Shah Hussain Awan, Arbab Ejaz, Muhammad Tariq (Deputy Registrar), Professor Dr. Zahoor Ul Haq, Tasneem Ul Haq and Samreen Mehmud received awards  from the Vice Chancellor.

The Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Ihsan Ali distributed awards and cash prizes among the faculty members, Registrar's office, staff, class four employees and the students for their brilliant performance. In his address, the Vice Chancellor; Professor Dr. Ihsan Ali highlighted that Abdul Wali University Mardan showed marvelous progress and development in a short period of only four years. He owed his gratitude to the devoted and consistent hard work  of the faculty and staff for making Abdul Wali Khan a Hallmark of education at the national and international level. He asserted that in the future, the university will ensure discipline and merit at all levels and will strictly deal with all kinds of iniquitous affairs. He declared that the university college for women will soon be upgraded to post graduate level. He donated 60 lac rupees as a scholarship for 736 students of the university from the university endowment fund. A documentary film on Abdul Wali Khan University was also shown to the audience on the occasion which they appreciated amply whereas; Farhad Safi, chairperson department of journalism, presented a copy of the AWKUM voice to the worthy Chancellor. Meanwhile; the foundation day at Sankar and Riffat Mahal campuses was also celebrated.
