Second Convocation of Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan

Second convocation of Adul Wali Khan University Mardan was held on Thursday, where degrees were conferred upon 226 students and gold medals were given to 26 students. President of vice chancellors’ association, the vice chancellor of Engineering university, Imtiaz Hussain Gilani participated in the convocation. Vice Chancellor Abdul Wali Khan University congratulated the students and named them as the builder of the future.  He further said that we have many expectations from you. You should never disappoint the nation and parents. He said that the university has made tremendous progress in the short span of four years and now, it is one of the best universities in the country. It was said that all admissions in the university are given purely on merit. It was added that at present the university has 107 PhDs and in the coming three years, it will reach to 300. Dr. Ihsan Ali said that shifting to the Garden Campus will be started in the start of September.  He made an offer that he is ready to give the existing building to Women University, which is really the need of Mardan. He said that the university, from its own resources, not only gave scholarships to hundreds of students but also established University College for Women and University Museum.  Registrar Prof. Dr. Sheer Ali Khan, Dean of Arts Prof. Dr. Zahoor ul Haq, Dean of Sciences Prof. Dr. Saeed Anwar and Controller Examination also addressed.
